- Rooted in identity (in Christ, purpose, calling)
- Determines everything else downstream
Genesis 1:27 – “God created man in His own image…”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…”
Key Truth:
You don’t do to become—you are, therefore you do.
2. ROLES (Assignment)
What you are called to function as
- Roles flow out of your identity
- You can have multiple roles (leader, parent, steward, servant)
Genesis 2:15 – Man placed in the garden to tend and keep it
Ephesians 4:11-12 – Different roles (apostles, prophets, etc.)
Key Truth:
Roles are expressions of identity in specific contexts.
